Pam appeared one day at our church service, shabbily dressed, strung out on drugs, and grumbling to herself. Amidst our well-attired, properly behaved congregation, Pam stuck out like s sore thumb.
At the end of the service, two young mothers went up to Pam and took her under their wings. They welcomed her, hugged her, and invited her to out for lunch with them. It was truly a miracle to see Pam's face change from a scowl to a smile as she happily accepted.
All God needs is a willing heart to make a difference, to heal a hurt, to graft a broken branch back onto the vine so it can bloom again.
