Romans 10:17

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"

Consciously or unconsciously, we 'speak' to ourselves all the time. Psychologists say that we 'speak' to ourselves up to 50,000 times a day - in the words we use, the things we say, the thoughts we think, and the 'truths' we confess. What we say has a profound impact on what we end up thinking and believing. This consequently affects how much faith we have in God and in His grace.
When we speak out loud words of God's truth, our minds will 'hear' our words and our thinking will then be rewired. Don't just read the Bible silently in your mind. Stand up, speak it out loud and claim it! As we confess the truth once, twice, three times, each time claiming it in our hearts, soon the seed of faith will be sown in our hearts, and bloom to firm and confident conviction. Then, when faith rises up in our hearts, it opens us up to receive and experience God's incredible grace in our lives.
